Yikes. Things are heating up (sorry, I couldn't resist). Fire Force Vol. 6 finds a way to up the ante in an already lethal situation. In truth, a lot of this volume felt like it was setting up for something even bigger, which is frankly terrifying.
Flashback Fridays: Scott Pilgrim Vol. 2: Scott Pilgrim vs. The World
Unsurprisingly, Scott Pilgrim vs. The World is just as good as the first volume! It's funny, strange, and the perfect combination of elements. This is my first time reading the series, and I am having so much fun!
WOTN Review: Rat Queens #22 (Image Comic)
After a brief break, the chaotic crew, the Rat Queens, are back! Rat Queens #22 comes bearing a new plot arc and a new creative team. Moritat and Casey Silver have stepped up to provide the artwork for this latest adventure.
Review: The Glass Scientists Volume 1
Guys, do not sleep on this series! It's absolutely fantastic! I went into The Glass Scientists expecting a fun but overall light read – and I was blown away by what I got. The Glass Scientists is quirky, quick-witted, and overwhelmingly charming. It swept me off my feet and left me wishing there was more (why yes, I am counting down the days to volume two, thank you for asking).
Manga Monday: When a Cat Faces West Vol. 2
Flow is a (natural?) phenomenon that the city has been forced to deal with for years. Where it appears everything can change, oddities arise, people disappear, and the rules of physics alter. That's where the Flow Disposal department comes into play. It's their job to find the Flow source and help resolve it when possible.
Series Binge: That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime Vol. 5
And so the saga continues! Honestly, I'm shocked at how quickly the story is moving. It doesn't feel like I just read volume five of That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime. It feels more like I've been reading it for at least ten volumes – and I mean that in a good way.
Review: Batwoman: Elegy
Kate Kane (Batwoman) is one of my favorites of the Bat characters. So, obviously, I love reading her series. I think this is my second or third time reading through it all – but it's been a bit, so now it seems right. Plus, I apparently never reviewed them, so there's that.
WOTN Review: Rat Queens #21 (Image Comics)
After a short break, the Rat Queens are back and better than ever. Rat Queens #21 brings back the dynamic ladies we love. And that means they're about to get into even more trouble, as is their way of life.
Review: Earthdivers Vol. 2: Ice Age
Oh! I don't know why, but I was not expecting the ice age to be where Earthdivers went next. I suppose it makes sense, but I needed to read the whole of Earthdivers Vol. 2 for it to really hit home.
Manga Monday: Nights with a Cat Vol. 2
Fuuta recently agreed to let his little sister move in with him. However, she isn't moving alone – coming with her is Kyuruga. This is Fuuta's first real experience spending any amount of time near a cat, and it's safe to say that it was illuminating.
