Manga Monday: Naruto Vol. 1: The Tests of the Ninja

It only seems appropriate to read and review Naruto, considering the release of Boruto Vol. 1. Volume one is the kick-off for a seventy-two volume series, as well as two (successful) TV series. That being said, I've noticed that there are really two categories for how people feel about Naruto: either they utterly hate it, or they are absolutely in love with it. There are very few people in between.

Review: My Hero Academia: Smash Vol. 1

My Hero Academia: Smash is a series intent on retelling the original series that we love so much (My Hero Academia, in case that wasn't painfully obvious), but with a more…humorous twist. If you haven't read the original series, a lot of what happens here probably won't make a lot of sense.

Review: My Hero Academia Vol. 25

Man, are we already twenty-five volumes into My Hero Academia? That's almost hard to believe. Then again, there's been a lot going on, so maybe it isn't all that surprising. Either way, it's been a thrilling series, and I hope that the end is nowhere in sight.

Review: My Hero Academia: Team-Up Missions Vol. 1

My Hero Academia: Team-Up Missions Vol. 1 is exactly what it promises to be: an entertaining series of team-ups following our favorite heroes in training. Shorts like these help to flesh out the series just a little bit more, providing more insight into their experience and training.

Review: Dandadan Vol. 14

The invasion arc has been going on for a hot minute, though maybe it just feels that way to me because I’ve had to wait volume by volume. Anyway, Dandadan Vol. 14 dives right back into the thick of things, and I feel like it’s all finally starting to wrap up. And yes, I am still looking forward to seeing this all play out in the anime. It’s going to look spectacular.

Review: The Apothecary Diaries Vol. 13

If you ever need to solve a mystery, having Maomao or her father (adopted or biological) around is essential. The Apothecary Diaries Vol. 13 helps confirm that theory, as Maomao carefully orchestrates a way to reveal who’s behind the attempted assassination.

Review: Dandadan Vol. 13

It seems like the introduction of new characters always kicks off some sort of wild supernatural or paranormal event. Vamola kicked off this event, begging the question: Is this the longest arc so far? I’m too lazy to go back and count, but it feels comparable to Jiji’s arc. Poor Kinta (has anyone ever said that before?) didn’t get much time before jumping to the next character.
