It's time to dive back into this series! I had planned on reading it all before the new Netflix series dropped. Since that happened almost a month ago (at the time of writing this), I failed miserably with that goal.
The Rat Queens have faced many strange adventures and creatures over their two series. But none like what they will face in Rat Queens #23. This is a fun side quest, so to speak, while the real danger still lurks in the background.

Okay, so there was a lot that drew me to this series. First, the dystopian vibes intertwined with a fantasy setting. Second, the author! I love G. Willow Wilson (famous for Ms. Marvel), so I had pretty high hopes for her new fantasy series.
Makoto Kowata is a witch. Or rather, she's a witch in training. As such, she has packed up all her belongings (and cat) to live with distant relatives. It's a bit of a family tradition – a way of sending young witches out into the world - but in a gentler way.
Yikes. Things are heating up (sorry, I couldn't resist). Fire Force Vol. 6 finds a way to up the ante in an already lethal situation. In truth, a lot of this volume felt like it was setting up for something even bigger, which is frankly terrifying.
Unsurprisingly, Scott Pilgrim vs. The World is just as good as the first volume! It's funny, strange, and the perfect combination of elements. This is my first time reading the series, and I am having so much fun!
After a brief break, the chaotic crew, the Rat Queens, are back! Rat Queens #22 comes bearing a new plot arc and a new creative team. Moritat and Casey Silver have stepped up to provide the artwork for this latest adventure.
Guys, do not sleep on this series! It's absolutely fantastic! I went into The Glass Scientists expecting a fun but overall light read – and I was blown away by what I got. The Glass Scientists is quirky, quick-witted, and overwhelmingly charming. It swept me off my feet and left me wishing there was more (why yes, I am counting down the days to volume two, thank you for asking).
