Review: A Haunted Girl

Ghosts, legends, and lost family secrets - where do I sign up?! But seriously, A Haunted Girl is the perfect recipe for a paranormal graphic novel in my book. The pacing was the only reason I didn't love this book as much as I wanted to (and boy, did I want to). It's all over the place.

Review: Akogun: Brutalizer of Gods

If there’s one thing I can say about Akogun, it’s that it is one heck of a whirlwind. This graphic novel will keep you on your toes from start to finish. It’s a dark read with many surprising and brutal twists.

Review: Suitor Armor, Volume 1

How did I not hear about Suitor Armor sooner? I’ve only read the first volume of this series, and I am 100% hooked. I need more, and I need it now (thankfully, it is originally a webcomic, so I can dive right in).

Review: Attaboy

Attaboy is both wholly nostalgic and unique, all in one go. While the storytelling style (and art) is very original, the overall story is designed to resonate with fans. It succeeded! At least with this fan.

Review: We Called Them Giants

Oph. I knew that whatever Kieron Gillen wrote next would be a total gut punch, and I was right. We Called Them Giants is short yet highly emotional, with our characters left to face the unknown and worse.

Review: Vincent: A Graphic Biography

I've always been enthralled by Vincent van Gogh's artwork and story. As such, I think I've read over a dozen biographies about the artist (no, really; I'm pretty sure my family preorders every new one that comes out, knowing it'll make a good gift for me). So, obviously, I had to nab Vincent: A Graphic Biography while I had the chance!

Review: Solo Leveling Vol. 8

I have to give it to the creator; Solo Leveling always finds ways to surprise me (even though I always feel like I have a solid grasp of the story). Solo Leveling Vol. 8 brings us back into the fold, but the world seems to be changing and changing fast.

Review: The Book of Bill

Hahahaha! Sorry, had to get that out of my system (if you know, you know). I only recently got hooked on Gravity Falls, but my timing was perfect because The Book of Bill dropped.

Review: Castle Swimmer Vol. 1

Oh goodness. I went into Castle Swimmer Vol. 1, not really having any expectations (I didn't read the Webtoon series), and holy cats! This series has so much heart it's impossible not to fall head over heels for it.

Review: The Evil Secret Society of Cats Vol. 1

It’ll come as no surprise to hear that The Evil Secret Society of Cats Vol. 1 is both cute and funny, in equal measure. This volume/series is perfect (purrfect?) for all cat and manga lovers for obvious reasons. (It also reminds me that I need to check out that Gat+Gamer series).
