King Thor's adventures – and trials - continue in Thor #9. He may be the King of Asgard, but that doesn't mean all of his troubles are gone. The opposite is true if recent events are anything to go by. The real question is, how does he plan to deal with all the new difficulties?
Manga Monday: Words Bubble Up Like Soda Pop, Vol. 1
I didn’t realize this until after reading it, but is Words Bubble Up Like Soda Pop, Vol. 1 actually based on anime? You don’t normally see the adaptation going that way, so I found that to be a bit funny (side note: I wonder how the anime is?).
Review: The Way of the Househusband Vol. 11
I don't think Tatsu's adventures will ever end! Seriously, he keeps finding new ways to get up in other people's business. On the bright side, I got to read The Way of the Househusband Vol. 11, so I can hardly complain.
WOTN Review: Thor #7 (Marvel Comics)
Thor has gone through so much in recent years – both in the comics and movies. And from the looks of things, his journey is far from over. Thor #7 is about to bring even more change and surprises.
Manga Monday: Itaewon Class, Vol. 1
I was recommended Itaewon Class, Vol. 1 because it’s a highly emotional and compelling tale. I can certainly see the emotional side of that argument, but I didn’t really end up being too captivated by it.
Series Binge: The Apothecary Diaries Vol. 6
Wow. It’s just one emotional hit after another with this series! The Apothecary Diaries Vol. 7 is another homerun, as far as I’m concerned. It follows up the previous arc with everything I could have hoped for and arguably more.
WOTN Review: Thor #5 (Marvel Comics)
Of all the Marvel characters, Thor has gone through the most chances in recent years. Yet one thing that will never change: the amount of danger he consistently faces. In Thor #5, that statement has never felt truer.
Manga Monday: Wotakoi Vol. 1
An awkward romantic comedy? Sign me up! But seriously, Wotakoi Vol. 1 sounded like such a fun (and funny) series to check out. I dove in without reading too much about it because I wanted to be surprised.
Series Binge: My Hero Academia Vol. 30
The Heroes vs. Villains arc really hits all sorts of emotional highs and lows, doesn't it? My Hero Academia Vol. 30 brings us back into the fray, and the fight somehow keeps getting more intense. Better yet – more and more heroes (and villains) show up at every turn. I'm loving it (even though it is a re-read).
WOTN Review: Thor #4 (Marvel)
Thor has been forced to deal with quite a lot in recent years, and it seems Thor #4 will continue that tradition. Here, we have a god who has lost an arm, gone through the trials (and loss) of worthiness, and even a War of the Realms. Now, he's facing a completely different sort of threat.
