A new war is brewing on the horizon in The Marked #9. In recent times, there have been several dramatic changes and revelations all over. Now, it seems that all that was merely the framework for what would come.
Review: The Strange Tales of Oscar Zahn Vol. 1
If you love paranormal thrillers and mysteries, The Strange Tales of Oscar Zahn Vol. 1 is the comic series for you. It's out of this world, with a ghostly investigator (see what I did there?) and plenty of paranormal investigations to behold.
Review: Nothing Special Vol. 2
Oh yay! I'm so glad the (published) adventures continue in Nothing Special Vol. 2! I really adored the first volume and had questions about where the story would go from here. Now I have my answers...and I want volume 3. I'm so greedy, I know.
Manga Monday: The Light Conjurer Vol. 1
I'm unsure what to make of The Light Conjurer Vol. 1; I'm not even sure where to start my review. Hrm. Okay! Let's start with the fact that we should have been given more time to know the characters.
Series Binge: The Way of the Househusband Vol. 9
I don't know how long a series like The Way of the Househusband can continue, but I can tell you that I will gleefully read every volume handed to me. The Way of the Househusband Vol. 9 continues in the same vein as the rest of the series, with Tatsu getting pulled into lots of quick stories and events.
Review: Solo Leveling Vol. 6
Time for me to dive back into the world of Solo Leveling! (Side note: I wonder how many volumes I need to read before I can watch the show without fear of spoilers? I’m afraid to look it up, thanks to the ironic risk of spoilers). Solo Leveling Vol. 6 brings us back into Jinwoo’s world, his dungeon quest.
WOTN Review: The Marked #8 (Image Comics)
The Marked #8 has taken a dramatic shift in events, to say the least. Then again, this is a series about a secret society of magic uses. So, a sudden series of events, threats to humanity, and other ethereal dilemmas were bound to come up.
Review: Lavender Clouds
Lavender Clouds is a collection of slice-of-life comics centered around mental health and overall well-being. It's one of those comic collections that hits hard for those who have ever felt this way. In that sense, I feel like this book couldn't be more timely (thanks, 2020).
Manga Monday: Gachiakuta Vol. 2
I was too curious about Gachiakuta to pass up the second volume! The first volume introduced us to an interesting character and a dangerous world. The second volume? Well, it lets us see more of the stakes and the situation Rudo has fallen into (literally).
