Review: The Apothecary Diaries Vol. 13

If you ever need to solve a mystery, having Maomao or her father (adopted or biological) around is essential. The Apothecary Diaries Vol. 13 helps confirm that theory, as Maomao carefully orchestrates a way to reveal who’s behind the attempted assassination.

Review: Omniscient Reader’s Viewpoint Vol. 4

How does Omniscient Reader's Viewpoint keep finding new ways to up the ante? Omniscient Reader's Viewpoint Vol. 4 brings the core group back together, with the addition of some unwilling members (sort of?). Side note: I’ve swapped to reading Omniscient Reader's Viewpoint through Webtoons, so I’m doing my best to keep the chapters in line with the volumes.

Review: Love Everlasting Vol. 2

The bright side to being behind on a series is that you can binge-read a couple of volumes back to back. Love Everlasting Vol. 2 probably doesn’t hit as hard as the first volume, but it’s still worth reading. That said, I still have a million questions.

Review: X-Force Vol. 2: The Solution

While X-Force was not my favorite of the six original From the Ashes series, I don’t think it deserved to get canceled. I was enjoying learning about different characters, and X-Force Vol. 2 really reminded me of that fact. The creative team did a great job of rushing to give us the finale we deserved, and I’m sad we missed out on any of it. Especially if it had more Sage content.

Review: Dandadan Vol. 13

It seems like the introduction of new characters always kicks off some sort of wild supernatural or paranormal event. Vamola kicked off this event, begging the question: Is this the longest arc so far? I’m too lazy to go back and count, but it feels comparable to Jiji’s arc. Poor Kinta (has anyone ever said that before?) didn’t get much time before jumping to the next character.

Review: Omniscient Reader’s Viewpoint Vol. 3

The stakes keep getting higher in Omniscient Reader's Viewpoint, and the third installment of this series is no exception. Side note: I’ve swapped to reading Omniscient Reader's Viewpoint through Webtoons, so I’m doing my best to keep the chapters in line with the volumes.

Review: X-Force Vol. 1: Fractures

I’ll admit, I was a bit on the fence about X-Force when I first started reading it. Mostly, I was keeping up with it because I was desperately trying (and somewhat failing) to keep up with all the comics in From the Ashes.
