It's Reading Recommendation time! Here's what I'm suggesting this week: My Next Life as a Villainess: All Routes Lead to Doom!

Review: Arca

It's been a minute since I dove into a retro science fiction tale, and Arca seemed like the obvious choice. It blends one of my favorite genres with my love of graphic novels. I mean, what more could a girl ask for?

Manga Monday: Fire Force Vol. 2

Fire has always been a thing of nightmares for many. In this world, people are at risk of spontaneously combusting and turning into Infernals. An Infernal wants only one thing - to destroy. They are no longer considered human. That is where the Fire Force comes into play. It's their duty to protect the people.

Series Binge: Witch Hat Atelier Vol. 4

Coco lives in a world where magic exists. Unfortunately, she's no magician. That's the one thing she's desperately wanted to be ever since she was a little girl. However, she has also been told that magicians are born, not made. Until one day, Coco sees something that changes her life. Now she's a witch in training.

Review: The Witch Boy

The Witch Boy is such a sweet and delightful read. If you love magic and themes such as finding oneself, this book is for you! Best of all? This is but the first in a series, so there's plenty more to come.

Review: Estranged

Estranged is the perfect story for fans of fae and changelings. In truth, it's a perfect stepping stone for those who want to learn more about basic tropes and legends regarding fae. I'm not saying it's a simple story, but rather an approachable one.

It's Reading Recommendation time! Here's what I'm suggesting this week: Cosmoknights

Review: Heart Attack

So, we have a superhero book that isn't a superhero book? In truth, Heart Attack reads like a variant on X-Men. By that, I mean that I would fully have believed you if you told me this was happening in an alternate Marvel Universe.

Manga Monday: Kaiju No. 8 Vol. 2

When Kafka Hibino was a little boy, he promised to grow up and join the Japan Defense Force. Unfortunately, despite his best efforts, the latter part of that promise hasn't come to fruition. So instead, Kafka has settled for working on the kaiju corpse cleanup crew. It's just as gross as it sounds – and frequently more dangerous than expected.
