Charlie Spring is in Year 10 and one of the only guys in his school to come out as gay. That puts a lot of pressure on such a young soul. Then he met Nick. Nick is the best friend he's always needed...and maybe more? Is there a chance that this could be more than friendship? Charlie can only hope.
Review: Earthdivers Vol. 1: Kill Columbus
I've come to a conclusion: I will pretty much read anything that my favorite authors write. That officially includes Stephen Graham Jones. I fell in love with his work when The Only Good Indians was released, and that isn't going to change anytime soon.
WOTN Review: Love University #1 (Class-e)
Love University #1 is the first in a bright, charming new series. Have you ever wondered how Cupids learn to do their jobs? After all, matching two people together is a big deal – and is probably not what you want to get wrong.
Review: The Tea Dragon Tapestry
Greta has been fortunate enough to become the caregiver for Ginseng for several months now. Unfortunately, Ginseng is still mourning the loss of their previous caretaker, and as we all know – watching a loved one grieve is challenging.
WOTN Review: Loki #4 (Marvel)
It's not every day you get to see a character like Loki be forced to face the best and worst about themselves. Yet that is exactly what happens in Loki #4. It would seem that even the god of mischief can be introspective when time calls for it.
WOTN Review: Loki #2 (Marvel)
Before we begin, this is another reminder that the events in Loki directly follow everything that happened in War of the Realms. So, if you’re looking to avoid spoilers, you should probably wait to check out this series (or even this review if you want to play it safe).
Review: Parasocial
Parasocial is a dark graphic novel full of commentary about the potential risks of parasocial relationships? In truth, I appreciate what this story is trying to say, even if it does so by going to storytelling extremes.
WOTN Review: Loki #1 (Marvel Comics)
Oh, Loki. Even when things are going his way, he can’t resist starting something, can he? Loki #1 is immediately following the events in War of the Realms. So don’t read it if you’re not up to date (unless you’re cool with spoilers).
Review: Star Wars: The High Republic: The Edge of Balance Vol. 1
Lily Tora-Asi is a young Jedi Knight. While she's capable and determined, she hasn't entirely found her footing, so to speak. Her current mission is her first significant endeavor into the great unknown.
Review: Scarlet Witch Vol. 1: The Last Door
Wow. Scarlet Witch Vol. 1 is a roller coaster; I can tell you that much! A couple of distinct arcs occur within this volume besides the obvious setting up shop concept. It made for an action-packed and fascinating volume.
