After all this build-up, the Runaways finally face off against the Pride in an attempt to stop their parents from completing their goals. This is the volume you don’t want to skip to or skip over, so make sure that you make time for it. Along with everything else is an origin story for the Pride – but don’t worry, the background to them doesn’t make them anymore sympathetic, so feel free to continue hating them.
Another series I’m behind on picking up! Please don’t judge me. W0rldtr33 has been on my list since it released, because of the whole cyberpunk aesthetic. If you’ve read (watched, or played) any cyberpunk stories before, you can already see some familiar notes popping up in the description. To be clear, that isn’t a bad thing.
Teenage Wasteland continues the Runaways saga, and Brian Vaughan does not disappoint. I wouldn’t skip to volume two, as volume one has all of the vital backstory for what these kids are up to and why (though I’ll admit that a decent amount of time is spent summarizing volume one).
Cat's Favorite Series
If you like post-apocalyptic fiction, well, I was going to say you should check out Sweet Tooth, but the odds are good that you’ve already heard of it! Once again, I am behind on the times in actually reading hit series, but at least I got there.
Can you believe it!?! The Runaways have finally (finally!) been rebooted. While many of our precious Runaway characters have appeared in other series since, this is the first time since the end of the series that we’ve seen them all in one place again, and I am so excited!
American Vampire Vol. 4 is pretty drastically different from the previous three volumes, but I don’t hate that. Once again, this series is full of surprises! This is the last volume I read during my binge session, so I’ll have to line up the next few soon.
The West Coast Avengers is a newly formed team, using an older name from the world of Marvel. The team itself is…unexpected, but actually ends up being a lot of fun. The team consists of Kate Bishop (AKA Hawkeye, also the team leader), Clint Barton (AKA Hawkeye), Gwenpool, America Chavez, Quentin Quire (AKA Kid Omega), and Johnny Watts (AKA Fuse).

Jessica Jones: Alias Vol. 1 is one of the most groundbreaking series out there, involving the one and only Jessica Jones. Not to be confused with Jessica Drew, another detective of the Marvel universe. This is where Jess' series really ramped up, and made her story famous (or is it infamous?).
