Man, I really love Dandadan. This series has quickly become one of my favorites, if not my absolute favorite of all time. I wasn't expecting that, but I'm also not complaining. Dandadan Vol. 9 is another out-of-pocket addition to the series, and I'm here for it.
Oh man, I am so happy that Birds of Prey is back in action! Honestly, I don’t even care that the team members have changed (since the last time I read it); I’m just happy for more chaotic fun.
Cat's Favorite Series: My Hero Academia
Thanks to a new comic series from Vault, it's time to return to the World of Darkness. Vampire: The Masquerade #1 begins two stories from this foreboding world. It's everything that fans have been waiting for.
Before I dive into my review, I just want to point out that I Witnessed is historical fiction. It is based on real events (the Lizzie Borden trial and murders), but Charlie’s story is largely imagined and exaggerated. I’m not sure I would have read the graphic novel otherwise, you know?
I couldn't have been happier to learn that ZomCom was getting published! ZomCom'ics collects over 200 pages of this comic collection, and I have to say - rereading it was an absolute delight.
Every volume, I’m blown away by how creative this series is. Dandadan Vol. 8 does not disappoint. It’s another chaoticly fun addition to the series, and I loved every second of it. I don’t know how Yukinobu Tatsu keeps surprising readers, but he does!
Harley Quinn’s chaos never gets old. Well, that’s probably not true. I’m sure I’d find her character very tiring if I knew her in real life. But I don’t! So I enjoy the strange brand of chaos Harley’s known for in Harley Quinn Vol. 1.
Jane Foster has stepped into the role of the last Valkyrie, and she's done her job well. Now, in Valkyrie #10, she's facing a threat she's never seen before. Worse, it's involving those she considers friends and those she's sworn to protect.
Okay, can I please have the authority to give an award for the cutest graphic novel? No? Bummer. If I could, I'd give that award to Hungry Heart. It was sweet, fun, and heavily character-driven - just how I like them!
