Finally getting caught up on Jed MacKay’s run on The Avengers, starting with The Avengers Vol. 1 (duh). I love that Captain Marvel is back in charge. Though truthfully, I just love it when they swap leaders regardless. Change is good, right?

Of course, Jean Grey is getting a solo series during Marvel’s From the Ashes. It would be strange if she didn’t, right? Phoenix Vol. 1 really lets Jean/Phoenix off the leash, sending her off into the larger universe, and boy, are the stakes high.

Wow. Scarlet Witch Vol. 1 is a roller coaster; I can tell you that much! A couple of distinct arcs occur within this volume besides the obvious setting up shop concept. It made for an action-packed and fascinating volume.
