What a unique concept! Pass the Monster Meat, Milady! Vol. 1 is a quirky and sometimes hilarious start to the series. I can't wait to get to know the characters more, as there is so much potential in this romantic comedy.
WOTN Review: Spider-Verse #2 (Marvel)
Spider-Verse #2 continues the quest that Miles has been thrown into – albeit slightly involuntarily. But when the web needs a hero, it will find one. And this time, it's Spider-Ma'am and her allies that have been thrown into the mix.
Review: She-Hulk Vol. 4: Jen-Sational
Wow. There's a lot to unpack from She-Hulk Vol. 4. We have hero-drama, friend-drama, relationship-drama, and even Hulk-drama. Drama is apparently the name of the game in this volume, and that's a bit of good and bad.
Manga Monday: Sayabito: Swords of Destiny Vol. 1
Sayabito: Swords of Destiny Vol. 1 is the first in a new fantasy series, and I'll confess that it was totally that bright and happy cover that originally caught my attention. Still, it seemed like it was worth the read!
Flashback Fridays: X-23 Vol. 1: The Killing Dream
So, there are many reasons why I wanted to read X-23 Vol. 1. The two dominant reasons are this: X-23 is my favorite X-Men, and Marjorie Liu is one of my favorite authors. This is a bit of a match made in heaven for me. I'm surprised I hadn't previously read it (my comic TBR is so out of control).
WOTN Review: Spider-Verse #1 (Marvel)
The Spider-Verse is back! And if the cover is anything to go by, only Miles Morales can save the Web of Life in Spider-Verse #1. Spider-Verse will have to do a lot of explaining, given how the last spider-oriented event went.
Manga Monday: He’s Expecting Vol. 1
Every now and then, you come across a series that makes you stop. He's Expecting Vol. 1 was the most recent series to do that to me. It's a great concept with a lot of potential to help people reassess their biases.
WOTN Review: Sea of Stars #5 (Image Comics)
Sea of Stars #5 brings us back to the insane journey that Gil and his son, Kadyn, have been thrown into. This entire series has been an emotional rollercoaster. It takes the whole father/son dynamic and throws it into space. And thus, it adds a surprising amount of twists along the way.
Review: Your Throne Vol. 1
Huh. This is not how I expected Your Throne Vol. 1 to go, but I have to admit that I love the twists. One volume in, and this series is already surprising me left and right! I can't wait to get my hands on the second volume (thankfully, I don't think I'll have to wait long).
Manga Monday: Small Nozomi and Big Yume Vol. 1
Huh. Small Nozomi and Big Yume Vol. 1 is an interesting start to a quirky series, to say the least. Both characters have a lot of backstory, though it will take some time before it is all revealed (remembered?).
