For years, Pan's life has been so small. It all started when she helped her best friend, Tara, find her freedom. You see, Tara was a princess, which meant she was readily available for any knight to battle for her hand. Doesn't really matter what Tara thought about that.
Review: Captain Marvel Vol. 10: Revenge of the Brood Part 2
Whew. I won't lie: Captain Marvel Vol. 10 is an intense read. In truth, the entire Revenge of the Brood arc has been one heavy-hitting moment to the next. Kelly Thompson has always been good about that – creating an emotional arc that ties back to Carol's past.
Manga Monday: Spy x Family Vol. 1
Twilight is a master spy. By their nature, spies cannot be famous. But Twilight is as close as they come to being famous for his career. He's the go-to agent for tough jobs, so he's been given a new assignment that might be above his capabilities.
WOTN Review: Ironheart 2020 #1 (Marvel)
Whether or not you've been following the Marvel 2020 plot arc, Ironheart 2020 #1 is worth checking out, especially if you're a fan of Riri Williams and have found that you miss her sass and grit more than ever.
Review: Doctor Who: The Tenth Doctor Vol. 1: Revolutions of Terror
What would you do if all the washing machines at your work suddenly spewed out what looked like a magical vortex, leaving nothing but a watery mess behind? Yeah, you'd probably think you hallucinated too.
Review: Two Graves Vol. 1
Two Graves Vol. 1 is one of the most interesting graphic novels I've read. It was strange and almost lyrical. Likewise, it was difficult to tell what was happening at points. This made it quite a unique read, and it is proving a challenge to write a review.
Manga Monday: Witch Hat Atelier Vol. 1
Coco lives in a world where magic exists. Unfortunately, she's no magician. That's the one thing she's desperately wanted to be ever since she was a little girl. However, she has also been told that magicians are born, not made.
WOTN Review: Ironheart #8 (Marvel)
Ironheart is just getting cameo after cameo lately, isn't it? The last issue brought the Unstoppable Wasp into the mix (which we loved), and this issue is bringing a new character into Riri's quest for truth.
Review: Utown
Misfits have a way of finding one another. For this group of misfits, their home is Utown. It's not the cleanest or nicest neighborhood around, but it's theirs, and that's something! Or is it? Gentrification has a way of ruining everything, especially for those that have the least.
Manga Monday: Kaiju No. 8 Vol. 1
When Kafka Hibino was a little boy, he promised to grow up and join the Japan Defense Force. Unfortunately, despite his best efforts, the latter part of that promise hasn't come to fruition. So instead, Kafka has settled for working on the kaiju corpse cleanup crew. It's just as gross as it sounds – and frequently more dangerous than expected.
