I See Your Face, Turned Away Vol. 1 is a funny and sweet story worth checking out. It’s also not the most memorable story out there, so dive in, enjoy it, and move on.
Review: Star Wars: Darth Vader, Vol. 2
Here marks the end of the (well, this) Darth Vader series. It was a good run, and overall, I really enjoyed it. This series could be read as a standalone or alongside the main Star Wars plot. The whole series, from start to finish, occurs between A New Hope and Empire Strikes Back, and until now, I hadn’t really thought about what occurred in that time span.
Manga Monday: Kei X Yaku: Bound By Law Vol. 1
If you’re looking for a quirky murder/mystery manga with forced proximity, Kei X Yaku: Bound By Law Vol. 1 is the read for you! But seriously, this manga surprised me again and again, and I have to read the rest of the series.
Review: Star Wars: Darth Vader, Vol. 1
This week, I finally caved in and started reading through Darth Vader (courtesy of Marvel Unlimited, which is the biggest supporter of comic binge-reading). So I'm a little behind on the times, but I'm really glad I'm finally getting around to reading it because it has been fantastic! No additional reading is needed to understand what's happening here, as all the context is provided within the first couple of pages (I love it when that happens). This is especially true if you've seen all the movies (and if you haven't, you're probably not likely to want to read the comics anyway?).
WOTN Review: Wonder Woman: Tempest Tossed
DC continues creating graphic novels with a younger focus on Wonder Woman: Tempest Tossed. Here, we're provided with another glimpse at an origin story for Diana, yet it's nothing like we've seen before.
Manga Monday: Is Love the Answer?
Is Love the Answer? Is the story of one woman trying to understand her sexuality. As such, it’s a great resource for anybody going through a similar journey. It’s an informative read with a plot, essentially.
Review: The Amazing Spider-Man Vol. 1: World Without Love
It’s been a hot minute since I’ve read any Spider-Man (I know, shame on me), so I went ahead and grabbed some of the recent highlights to binge. One is The Amazing Spider-Man Vol. 1 by Zeb Wells.
WOTN Review: West Coast Avengers #10 (Marvel)
It's safe to say it, but the West Coast Avengers is ending early. Thankfully, the creative team involved knew that it was coming, so they were able to complete the current arc and give us a chance to say goodbye.
Manga Monday: I Cross-Dressed for the IRL Meetup 1
I wasn’t entirely sure what to expect when I dove into I Cross-Dressed for the IRL Meetup 1. It had the potential to be really cute and sweet or go in the entirely opposite direction and get a bit too gross for my liking.
Review: Captain Marvel Vol. 2: The Undone
I have a lot of complicated feelings about Captain Marvel Vol. 2. I didn't hate it, but I also feel like I could have loved it more. This is a strange place for me to be in, as I'm pretty much a huge Captain Marvel fangirl.
