Harley Quinn’s chaos never gets old. Well, that’s probably not true. I’m sure I’d find her character very tiring if I knew her in real life. But I don’t! So I enjoy the strange brand of chaos Harley’s known for in Harley Quinn Vol. 1.
Review: Catwoman: Lonely City
Oh wow. Catwoman: Lonely City is probably one of the better alternate timeline series I've read recently. It's dark and unafraid to play with characters and possibilities – precisely what we need.
Review: Batwoman: Elegy
Kate Kane (Batwoman) is one of my favorites of the Bat characters. So, obviously, I love reading her series. I think this is my second or third time reading through it all – but it's been a bit, so now it seems right. Plus, I apparently never reviewed them, so there's that.
Flashback Fridays: The Sandman Vol. 1: Preludes & Nocturnes
I'm pretty sure I've heard about The Sandman my whole life (I just checked, and yep – the series is older than I am). Despite this, I've been REALLY bad and never read it. I've always meant to, but you know how life is.
Review: Far Sector
Green Lantern Sojourner "Jo" Mullein is unlike the other Lanterns. She holds a different sort of ring. Yet her mission is the same. She's been sent off to a distant planet to protect the City Enduring – complete with 20 billion people and several alien races.
WOTN Review: Gen:LOCK #2 (DC Comics)
Fans of the gen:LOCK TV series will be thrilled to discover that our beloved characters are continuing their quest in comic form. No, it's not quite the same thing. But gen:LOCK #2 is just as action-packed as we could have ever hoped for, and that almost makes up for it.
Review – Basketful of Heads #1 (DC Black Label)
tful of Heads #1 is the first issue in a new miniseries from DC Comics. The series is going to run for a total of six issues and is one of the darker series – falling solidly under their new Black Label.
Review: Unearthed: A Jessica Cruz Story
DC Comics is continuing their young adult graphic novel run, and I personally couldn't be more excited about their latest protagonist. Jessica Cruz is one of my all-time favorite DC characters and, without a doubt, my favorite Green Lantern. Naturally, that left me feeling very excited for Unearthed: A Jessica Cruz Story.
Review: Justice League Odyssey #2
Justice League Odyssey #2 Publisher: DC Comics Released: October 22nd 2018 Rating: Thanks to multiverse breaking plots of the last major event, four of our DC heroes have found themselves very far from home. Jessica Cruz, Cyborg, Starfire, and Azreal are not exactly the sort of team I’d be expecting to find, well ever, but... Continue Reading →
Review: Batman Beyond #25
Batman Beyond #25 Publisher: DC Comics Released: October 22nd 2018 Rating: I’m actually really quite conflicted about this issue, despite the good rating I gave it. I think the problem is that given a choice I wouldn’t have had this particular character come back, but they did a really great job with it and I... Continue Reading →
