Once again, there's so much going on in X-Men Vol. 3 that it's borderline overwhelming. Thankfully, the writing and characters are so powerful that this isn't off-putting. Additionally, it ensures a plot for everyone (how could there not be?!).
I remember reading X-23: Innocence Lost ages ago. But recently, I've been craving a re-read of all things X-23, so here I am! But seriously, this volume hits hard. Honestly, a lot of origin stories tend to hit hard, but Laura's is especially difficult to read.
Despite being a big Marvel fan girl, I have never sat down to read all of The Unbeatable Squirrel Girl. I know; shame on me. I'm here to fix that, I promise! I have the entire series stacked right next to me as I write this.
Once again, X-Men Vol. 2 delivers on the promises made by this new series. Hickman has brought new life to the X-Men, and I am all sorts of here for it. I know it won't last (no comic arc does, much as we'd like that to be untrue), but I will enjoy it while I binge it.
All good things must come to an end. And the end is certainly here with Spider-Verse #6. This issue wraps up the miniseries and, along with it, Miles’ quest to save the Web of Life. This has been a brilliant and fun quest. One that has given Miles a chance to shine in the context of the much larger universe that is Spider-Verse.
Miles Morales’ quest to repair the Web of Life continues in Spider-Verse #5. This time around, his quest brings some immediate results – and some fantastic news. A fan favorite of the Spidersonas is back once again, and his story is one we’re going to want to hear.
Spider-Verse #4 continues throwing Miles Morales on his quest to save the Web of Life. So far, we’ve seen Miles jump from universe to universe, helping out the other Spidersonas out there in an attempt to find balance.
I've read most of the stories collected in Captain Marvel: Game On, but I clearly missed one or two! As such, I was thrilled to sit down and read them all. This is the volume to read if you love Carol, Flerkins, or fun chaos!
And so Miles’ slightly chaotic journey to save the Web of Life continues in Spider-Verse #3. This time around, Miles is meeting up with another ally of his. Ones that fans of the movies will certainly recognize – and probably squeal over.
I'll be honest with you: Captain Marvel Vol. 1: The Omen wasn't what I expected. Though I don't entirely know what I was expecting (maybe more politics? The whole gala vibe is probably the reason for that).
