I’m back with Lore Olympus Vol. 2! I can still see why readers have fallen head over heels for this romance. That said, I’m still not as sucked in as I would like. I think it’s just because I’m still very burned out on Greek mythology/retellings.
WOTN Review: Wasted Space #9 (Vault Comics)
Billy Bane hasn't exactly been the most willing of heroes...but at least he's stepped up for the job. More or less. In Wasted Space, Billy tries to fix everything he broke, even though he'd prefer to stay away from humanity.
Review: Orisha Volume 1: With Great Power
The second I saw Orisha Volume 1: With Great Power, I knew I had to read it! The cover is simply striking (seriously, look at it!), and the description sounded compelling. I was not disappointed.
Review: The Silver Coin Vol. 1
Once again, behind on the times, I'm trying to catch up on all the series I've missed out on. One such series is The Silver Coin, a horror anthology created by several of my favorite comic writers and authors. A big no-brainer for why I needed to read it!
WOTN Review: Vampire the Masquerade: Winter’s Teeth #5 (Vault Comics)
The first plot arc in Vampire The Masquerade Comics ends with Vampire the Masquerade: Winter's Teeth #5. The World of Darkness has again come to life, telling two unique tales of vampires and politics.
Review: Soma
Soma is such a strange yet fun tale; I don’t even know where to begin. It takes one comic book artist (ironic, I know) on a grand adventure that involves aliens and saving the world. The characters, even the human ones, are completely out of this world in the best of ways.
Review: I Hate Fairyland Vol. 1: Madly Ever After
I have been meaning to read I Hate Fairyland for (checks notes) eight years!?! How did that happen? Anyway, I’m super late to the scene but better late than never, right? I Hate Fairyland Vol. 1 is an instant chaotic mess, and I loved every second of it.
WOTN Review: Vampire The Masquerade: Winter’s Teeth #3 (Vault Comics)
The World of Darkness will never die, not while tales from that captivating world still pop up. In Vampire: The Masquerade: Winter's Teeth #3, two differing vampire tales continue, providing a dark view into their lives.
Review: Night People
Night People is a compelling and sometimes disjointed story about a collection of people. Every person in this story has a reason for committing crimes, from simply liking it to trying to survive. It makes for an interesting view of the human soul.
Review: Black Cloak Volume 1
So, I’m very behind on the times here, but I’m finally diving into Black Cloak. I should have done this sooner since one of my favorite comic authors (Kelly Thompson) is at the helm. Even aside from that, Black Cloak has a compelling premise - magical cities, royalty, and a police procedural all wrapped into one. What more could a girl ask for?!
