Valkyrie #9 continues the latest plot arc for Jane Foster, ‘The End of All Things.’ Now that Jane seems to have her footing with the Valkyrie mantle, it’s time to push things forward. And that means putting her up against a massive threat and a few surprises.
Valkyrie #8 is the start of a brand-new plot for Jane Foster. 'At the End of All Things' is a plot guaranteed to pull in at least one other fan-favorite character, as you can probably guess from the cover of this issue.
When Jane Foster signed up for the job (or is it calling?) of Valkyrie, the odds are pretty good that she never expected to take on such a quest as this. In Valkyrie #7, Valkyrie is forced to step up and heal the most unexpected of patients.
Jane Foster: Valkyrie. It has a nice ring to it, doesn’t it? Not that Jane ever wants her identity to be revealed to the public. In Valkyrie #6, Jane works with various characters, from the iconic legends to some surprising throwbacks.
It's safe to say that there's been a bit of an adjustment period for Jane Foster. First, she was Thor, and now she's Valkyrie. And Valkyrie #5 reminds us of all she's been through – while showing us how much farther she still has to go.
Jane Foster is still getting the hang of this whole Valkyrie thing. And we can’t exactly blame her for having a bit of trouble catching on; after all, she’s the last Valkyrie out there. That’s why Jane is seeking out advice in Valkyrie #4.
Valkyrie #3 was every bit as striking, epic, and emotional as fans were expecting (thanks to the dramatic conclusion of the second issue). Jane Foster is still trying to get the hang of being a Valkyrie, but the lack of knowledge hasn't prevented her from being there for her friends when they need her most.
The tale of Jane Foster as Valkyrie continues here. For fans who have not been following along, this series directly results from what happened during the War of the Realms. It’s also been built up for some time in the Thor series.
