Have I mentioned how I’ve recently become obsessed with Secrets of the Silent Witch? I first got addicted through the anime, but have since started reading both the manga and the light novels. It’s that good of a series, I promise.
Manga Monday: Play It Cool, Guys Vol. 1
I picked up Play It Cool, Guys Vol. 1 on a whim, because it sounded cute and funny. And it is! This series seems to be exactly what it promised: quirky nerds playing it cool on the surface, while having an absolute freak-out in their heads. Too relatable.

Review: The Abandoned Empress, Vol. 1
I was browsing my local library recently, and The Abandoned Empress, Vol. 1 caught my attention (stunning cover!). So, with little thought or hesitation, I decided to try it! While I found the overall world fascinating, the tone of this story is just too heavy and down for me.
Manga Monday: Handyman Saitou in Another World, Vol. 1
Okay, I’ll admit it: I LOVE this concept. Handyman Saitou in Another World, Vol. 1 introduces us to a story where basically an ordinary dude ends up in a magical world. Ironically, it’s his ordinary skills that make him valuable there.
Manga Monday: The Essence of Being a Muse, Vol. 1
I’m always searching for a new manga series to get hooked on (seriously, I need recommendations), so I decided to try The Essence of Being a Muse, Vol. 1. I liked the idea of playing around with muses and the like.
Series Binge: Soul Eater Vol. 10
I forgot how much I enjoyed this arc in Soul Eater. I think I always forget because it takes me a bit to get into it (every time!). That said, Soul Eater Vol. 10 has so much going on within the pages, with new highs and lows worth checking out.
Review: Solo Leveling, Vol. 7
Okkaaaay. It’s safe to say that the stakes have changed in Solo Leveling, Vol. 7. It’s no longer about Jinwoo trying to cobble enough resources together to save his mom. Now, it’s about Korea (and possibly the world?).
Review: Solo Leveling Vol. 6
Time for me to dive back into the world of Solo Leveling! (Side note: I wonder how many volumes I need to read before I can watch the show without fear of spoilers? I’m afraid to look it up, thanks to the ironic risk of spoilers). Solo Leveling Vol. 6 brings us back into Jinwoo’s world, his dungeon quest.
Review: Solo Leveling Vol. 5
I’ll confess that I’m still extremely curious to see where Solo Leveling will take us. What heights will Jinwoo reach before the end - and what event signals the end, for that matter? That made me eager to dive into Solo Leveling Vol. 5.
