Huh. Small Nozomi and Big Yume Vol. 1 is an interesting start to a quirky series, to say the least. Both characters have a lot of backstory, though it will take some time before it is all revealed (remembered?).
And so the battle continues onward. The battles are really layered at this point, aren't they? We have the fight against the Infernals, those behind the Infernals, and now Shinra/Sho. It's a lot, but at least you won't get bored reading Fire Force Vol. 10.
Ohhhh, man. This is a dark isekai if I've ever seen one! Villains Are Destined to Die Vol. 1 is so emotionally compelling that all I want to do is bundle Penelope up and protect her from the world—or keep reading. Yeah, it's the latter.
Okaaayyy. There's a lot to unpack here. Searching for My Perfect Brother Vol. 1 is the start of a new mystery series, and it's odd, to say the least. I'm not even sure where to start. Because wow.
Makoto Kowata is a witch. Or rather, she's a witch in training. As such, she has packed up all her belongings (and cat) to live with distant relatives. It's a bit of a family tradition – a way of sending young witches out into the world - but in a gentler way.
Ken Kanashiro is a family man. By that, we mean he worked his way to the top of the Washio Clan – a yakuza outfit. Despite this, there's room in his heart for something more. It wasn't until the boss' daughter, Megumi, introduced him to K-pop that Ken realized what that thing was.
Coco lives in a world where magic exists. Unfortunately, she's no magician. That's the one thing she's desperately wanted to be ever since she was a little girl. However, she has also been told that magicians are born, not made. Until one day, Coco sees something that changes her life. Now, she's a witch in training.
How to Grill Our Love Vol. 1 is probably one of the calmest and sweetest series I've checked out, at least in recent times. It's the perfect slow-burn romance for readers who love a lot of food talk.
I think it's safe to say that I have mixed feelings about Fire Force Vol. 9. On the one hand, a lot of plot advancement is happening here (not to mention a lot of info we've desperately been waiting for). On the other hand, at least one of the fights in this volume made me want to scream – and not in a good way.
What a refreshing change of pace! That Time the Manga Editor Started a New Life in the Countryside Vol. 1 may be a very (VERY) long title, but it was a delight to read! This series is perfect for anyone looking for something different or casual. Likewise, if you enjoy farming, this might be fun to check out.
