The World of Darkness is back again in Vampire the Masquerade #2. The second issue in this series is already proving to be just as memorable as the first. And potentially even darker, an impressive feat, to say the least.
Review: Mermaid Prince
Let me start this review by stating that Mermaid Prince is not at all what I expected. Maybe that’s a little bit my fault, but the title, cover, and description led me to believe that I would get one type of story - one that was creative and playful. Instead, I got something that was fairly somber.
Manga Monday: A Kingdom of Quartz Vol. 1
Angels and demons, what isn’t to love? But really, it’s the artwork that drew me into A Kingdom of Quartz Vol. 1. The promise just kept me invested. Having read the first volume, I can see why people are comparing it to Witch Hat Atelier (another favorite series of mine).
Review: Dandadan Vol. 9
Man, I really love Dandadan. This series has quickly become one of my favorites, if not my absolute favorite of all time. I wasn't expecting that, but I'm also not complaining. Dandadan Vol. 9 is another out-of-pocket addition to the series, and I'm here for it.
Review: Birds of Prey Vol. 1: Megadeath
Oh man, I am so happy that Birds of Prey is back in action! Honestly, I don’t even care that the team members have changed (since the last time I read it); I’m just happy for more chaotic fun.
WOTN Review: Vampire: The Masquerade #1 (Vault Comics)
Thanks to a new comic series from Vault, it's time to return to the World of Darkness. Vampire: The Masquerade #1 begins two stories from this foreboding world. It's everything that fans have been waiting for.
Review: I Witnessed: The Lizzie Borden Story
Before I dive into my review, I just want to point out that I Witnessed is historical fiction. It is based on real events (the Lizzie Borden trial and murders), but Charlie’s story is largely imagined and exaggerated. I’m not sure I would have read the graphic novel otherwise, you know?
Review: ZomCom’ics
I couldn't have been happier to learn that ZomCom was getting published! ZomCom'ics collects over 200 pages of this comic collection, and I have to say - rereading it was an absolute delight.
Manga Monday: A Condition Called Love Vol. 1
I know I’ve said this before, but if you’re looking for a sweet and relaxing series, check out A Condition Called Love. It’s casual, it’s cute, and you don’t need to worry about becoming totally overtaken by the series.
Review: Dandadan Vol. 8
Every volume, I’m blown away by how creative this series is. Dandadan Vol. 8 does not disappoint. It’s another chaoticly fun addition to the series, and I loved every second of it. I don’t know how Yukinobu Tatsu keeps surprising readers, but he does!
