The invasion arc has been going on for a hot minute, though maybe it just feels that way to me because I’ve had to wait volume by volume. Anyway, Dandadan Vol. 14 dives right back into the thick of things, and I feel like it’s all finally starting to wrap up. And yes, I am still looking forward to seeing this all play out in the anime. It’s going to look spectacular.
Review: Love Everlasting Vol. 2
The bright side to being behind on a series is that you can binge-read a couple of volumes back to back. Love Everlasting Vol. 2 probably doesn’t hit as hard as the first volume, but it’s still worth reading. That said, I still have a million questions.
Review: Dandadan Vol. 13
It seems like the introduction of new characters always kicks off some sort of wild supernatural or paranormal event. Vamola kicked off this event, begging the question: Is this the longest arc so far? I’m too lazy to go back and count, but it feels comparable to Jiji’s arc. Poor Kinta (has anyone ever said that before?) didn’t get much time before jumping to the next character.
Review: Love Everlasting Vol. 1
If you love horror, romance (with tragedy), and time loops, Love Everlasting Vol. 1 is the story for you. It’s a little bit like Groundhog Day, if Groundhog Day revolved around falling in love.
Review: Love, Misha
Okay, so you pitch a graphic novel to me and you promise it’ll be just Spirited Away, with a dash of A Very Goofy Movie vibes, and you just know I’m gonna read it. So, I did! Love, Misha has some very solid comps, but it lives up to those set expectations.
Review: Dandadan Vol. 12
Man, Dandadan always finds new ways to up the ante, I’ll give it that! Dandadan Vol. 12 is a heavy-hitting volume that isn’t afraid to push each character to their limit. There’s an alien invasion in the works, everyone is at their limit, and both grandmas are too far away to help. That could spell disaster, right?
Review: Suitor Armor Vol. 2
If you are not reading this series, you’re seriously missing out. Suitor Armor is an enchanting series revolving around a fairy in hiding (Lucia) inside the palace walls of a kingdom very much at war with the fairies. Obviously, there are layers to this story, but it’s so fun and compelling all in one.
Review: The Night Eaters Vol. 3: Their Kingdom Come
I’m not going to lie, I’m pretty sad that The Night Eaters Vol. 3 is the conclusion to this series. It’s been so good! I love this team (Majorie M. Liu and Sana Takeda are magic, you can’t convince me otherwise).
Manga Monday: Dorohedoro Vol. 1
I have been hearing about Dorohedoro for years. Seriously, it comes up on so many recommended lists, especially when I’m searching for something to read between some of my favorite series. So I decided to give it a go.
Review: Castle Swimmer Vol. 2
Oh, I was so happy to see Castle Swimmer Vol. 2 pop up on my feed. I know I could have read it all on Webtoon (which you should do if you want to binge the series asap), but I wanted to wait for the graphic novel to be released.
