I'm not going to lie, I totally thought that WIND BREAKER Volume 1 would be a sports manga. Doesn't the cover sort of give that impression? But nope, this one is all about fighting and becoming the best.
Manga Monday: When a Cat Faces West Volume 1
This week I took some time to sit down and binge a bunch of manga since it has been a while. Out of the ten volumes I read, I think When a Cat Faces West Volume 1 is my favorite. It's unique, offering a fresh perspective on the supernatural/paranormal.
Manga Monday: A Galaxy Next Door Vol. 1
A Galaxy Next Door Vol. 1 is one of several mangas I've recently come across that directly portray manga creators. It's fun, tongue-in-cheek, and is surprisingly good as a foundation for something more.
Manga Monday: Shangri-La Frontier Vol. 1
Shangri-La Frontier Vol. 1 is the start to an all-new adventure, one that absolutely captivates high school student Rakuro Hizutome. I can't say I blame him – who hasn't gotten a little bit too into a video game before? It happens.
Manga Monday: Even Given the Worthless “Appraiser” Class, I’m Actually the Strongest Vol. 1
Adding my latest manga read to the list of novels with insanely long titles: Even Given the Worthless "Appraiser" Class, I'm Actually the Strongest Vol. 1. This quirky title and cover were enough to make me curious about the world – and the impossibly strong hero.
Manga Monday: Cells at Work! White Brigade Vol. 1
Cells at Work! White Brigade Vol. 1 is part of a larger series, Cells at Work! This is the second of the series I have read, and it is such a charming way of teaching people more about their bodies. Thanks to Tetsuji Kanie and all of the others who have participated in its creation.
Manga Monday: Cells at Work! Neo Bacteria! Vol. 1
have read. It's such a unique take on the environment around us. And I respect what is being done by Haruyuki Yoshida and the others that have worked on the larger series.
Manga Monday: In the Clear Moonlit Dusk Vol. 2
A couple of months ago, I read the first volume of In the Clear Moonlit Dusk, and I was hooked. Luckily for me, I didn't have to wait long for the release of volume two! And yes, it is worth the wait – and the read. However, I may be biased, being head over heels and all.
Manga Monday: Peach Boy Riverside, Vol. 1
Peach Boy Riverside, Vol. 1 is the start of a new series, written by coolkyousinnjya and illustrated by Johanne. It's also one of the odder and more entertaining series I've read recently, with several surprises mixed in.
Manga Monday: In the Clear Moonlit Dusk, Vol. 1
In the Clear Moonlit Dusk, Vol. 1 is the first in a new series, and guys, I think I have a new favorite! No, seriously, this series is so cute and endearing, I'm desperate for more. I already hate having to wait for volume two.
