Summary:

Just when Katarina is convinced that she’s free of all her doom flags, she realizes she’s now living in the sequel. That’s right, all new doom flags! To make matters worse, Katarina hasn’t played this game, so she doesn’t have the same knowledge to avoid her horrible fates.

Katarina has graduated and even landed herself a job at the Bureau of Magic! Okay, it’s not exactly what anyone expected for this borderline-magicless character, but she’s trying to make a life for herself.

Review:

Every time I dive back into this series, I’m reminded of why I love it. My Next Life as a Villainess is such a silly and lighthearted series. Even while Katarina is dodging Doom Flags, it never feels like the world is actually going to fall apart.

At the beginning of this new series of arcs, Katarina even thought she was safe. She made it past the events of the Otome game, so it’s a reasonable conclusion, right? Wrong! There’s a sequel because, of course, there is. And she doesn’t know all the Doom Flags for that one. Uh oh.

So yeah, Bakarina is at it again, and I am here for her antics. I have so many questions about the new cast of characters. Likewise, I’m curious to see how much we’ll see of the extended cast, such as the ones who didn’t really appear in this volume. I’m assuming that isn’t the new norm, but it’s too soon to tell.

Highlights:

  • Isekai
  • Strong Humor
  • Clueless Lead
  • Dating Sim Game
  • Reverse Harem
