Summary:

Jinwoo Sung has a reputation among the other hunters and dungeon adventurers – he’s known as the Weakest Hunter of All Mankind. However, one job changed everything. It should have been a regular dungeon, but it quickly became life-or-death. Somehow Jinwoo survived – but he’s forever changed. Now, he’s working hard to level up and change the game.

The stakes are finally coming full circle. Jinwoo used to rely on the protection of other hunters, and now it’s time to return the favor. Or not, it all depends on the politics of the situation, doesn’t it?

Review:

Whew. I did not expect some of what happened in Solo Leveling Vol. 11. I know we’re getting pretty close to wrapping up, so sudden stake shifts and twists shouldn’t be surprising, yet here we are.

Thus far, there have been two arcs the series has been teasing for ages (seriously, it’s been forever). The first has to do with Jinwoo’s dad, and the second is about the brewing war. Solo Leveling Vol. 11 delivers a little bit on both of those fronts, without giving us all the answers. In other words, we’re invested in at least one more volume.

There’s an emotional gut punch in this volume, which I guess I should have seen coming. The last volume also worked hard to hit readers where it hurts, so this is probably going to be the standard until the series wraps up. Be prepared!
