Summary:

Twilight is a master spy. By their nature, spies cannot be famous. But Twilight is as close as they come to being famous for his career. His latest assignment requires him to have the perfect family. While he’s found the family, he’s working on the perfect part…

It’s the moment of truth. The midterm exams are here, and that means it’s time to learn if all of Anya’s hard work has paid off…or not. On the bright side, Anya hasn’t forgotten about Plan B, though there are still some bumps on the road there.

Review:

Spy x Family is one of those series I can count on to cheer me up, and Spy x Family Vol. 14 is no exception. I kid you not, this volume had me laughing out loud, especially when it came to taking a closer look at Anya’s grades. Also, can we all agree that Mr. Henderson would (probably) approve of this cover?

Speaking of Mr. Henderson, this volume drops some of his backstory! I was not expecting that. I won’t spoil it, but it is interesting to learn more about him and other secondary characters. It makes the world feel more alive.

As for the main plot, it was delightfully chaotic. It’s the sort of adventure that only makes sense with Anya at the helm, and boy, does she run with it! It’s equal parts funny and sweet, at times.

Overall, Spy x Family Vol. 14 is a solid issue that is perfect for us fans. It’s full of Anya chaos. That said, I’m looking forward to the next Yor and Loid-centric adventure, whenever that may be.
