Summary:
It all started as a little bet. Each wanted to prove the existence of the supernatural to their new friend, and neither was willing to listen. This quickly turns to chaos as a haunted tunnel and horny aliens get thrown into the mix.
The stakes have never been higher. The battle is raging on, with every member giving it their all to protect the planet. Unfortunately, things are still looking a bit rough, and there’s no reliable backup on the horizon.
Review:
It seems like the introduction of new characters always kicks off some sort of wild supernatural or paranormal event. Vamola kicked off this event, begging the question: Is this the longest arc so far? I’m too lazy to go back and count, but it feels comparable to Jiji’s arc. Poor Kinta (has anyone ever said that before?) didn’t get much time before jumping to the next character.
Anyway, I digress. Dandadan Vol. 13 dives right back into the action. More importantly (for the moment), it also provides insight into Vamola’s backstory. We knew it was going to happen eventually, and now things all make so much more sense.
Thanks to Vamola’s backstory, Dandadan Vol. 13 is equal parts heavy and action-packed. Meanwhile, the battle is still going on (seriously, is this the longest fight? I can’t wait to see it in the anime). It’s interesting to see how they’re working together and learning as they go.
