Review – Captain Marvel #15 (Marvel Comics)

Captain Marvel #15 is an issue that many Carol Danvers fans have been eagerly awaiting. This issue is part of ‘The Last Avenger’ plot arc, and it has been a scenic ride from the very first moment. Due to a strange series of circumstances (which I will not spoil here), Carol has been tasked with fighting the Avengers.

Review – Fairlady #4 (Image Comics)

Fairlady #4 continues Jenner Faulds' journey. Though if you recall, one thing that makes the Fairlady series so unique is that every issue has its freestanding plot. So you can read these in any order you like. That being said, I think this might be my favorite issue of the series. Though maybe that is because of the book theme, can you blame me there?

Review: Last of the Irin Volume One

Last of the Irin Volume One kicks off a new series full of gods, feuds, a fight for survival, and so much more. Written and illustrated by Rob McMillan, this is a tale that is larger than life. In many ways, reading this felt reminiscent of the early days of Warhammer, though with more visual elements to guide readers along.

Review – Fairlady #3 (Image Comics)

Jenner Faulds is the first and only Fairlady of the land. She's also exceptionally talented at her job. Unfortunately, part of her job involves getting into trouble. Not that this usually stops her; she seems to like trying to sort things out for herself.

Review: Darkhawk (2021) #4

I can't believe we're already almost at the end of this series. Darkhawk has been a whirlwind of a read. It introduced a new hero to pick up the mantle of Darkhawk, and so far, it has not been afraid to take bold risks with his origin story. These risks have paid off, as I am now fully invested in Conner Young's story.

Review: The Subtle Knife Graphic Novel

Are you a fan of His Dark Materials by Philip Pullman? Well, did you know that there's a graphic novel adaptation of the series in the works? I certainly didn't! It wasn't until I spotted The Subtle Knife on NetGalley that I realized this fantastic creation existed.

Manga Monday: Ciguatera Vol. 1

Do you know how sometimes a cover will make you stop browsing books and take a minute to read the description? Well, that is what happened to me with Ciguatera Vol. 1. The realism and colors of the cover instantly got me curious, and the description sucked me in.
