Just A Minute: The Cabinet #1

I’m a sucker for bright covers! So, obviously, when The Cabinet #1 crossed my desk, I knew I had to read it. This first issue is a chaotic and magical start to a bizarre series.

Avani is a teen just trying to clean up her mistakes. Those mistakes happen to be summoning the worst monster ever seen (and subsequently getting her parents murdered). Um, whoops? Fantastic concept! But it felt too rushed to give readers a good chance to get invested in the plot or the characters. We’ll have to see how it goes from here.
