Summary:

By all appearances, Dina Demille is perfectly ordinary. She runs a quiet bed and breakfast, which only has a few guests. In reality, she’s an Innkeeper – which makes her responsible for unearthly (literally) guests.

As a magical being, Dina is more aware than most of the potential dangers. For example, she knows that the thing stalking her neighborhood isn’t just a pack of coyotes or a wildcat. It’s something much worse. She’ll have to enlist the help of the local werewolf to deal with the problem.

The Innkeeper Chronicles: Clean Sweep The Graphic Novel was originally on Tapas, but the first volume has now been made available for readers hoping for a physical copy.

Review:

I don’t know why I was SO excited for the release of The Innkeeper Chronicles: Clean Sweep The Graphic Novel – I read it each week as it updated on Tapas. Yet I was still really excited to get it in my hands and have the chance to re-read it.

Let me tell you, it holds up! I love this world and the series so much, and thus far, I’ve loved every rendition. That goes for this graphic novel version. The dynamics are fun, quippy, and compelling, while the plot is rich and intense. And let us not forget about the sentient building – the inn is my favorite part.

The artwork is bold and bright. It’s a perfect fit for the world. Most of the characters even looked precisely how I pictured them. Yes, there are a couple of exceptions, but I’m pleased with it overall. Beast is especially adorable in this version, for obvious reasons.

What I’m trying to say is that I love this series, and The Innkeeper Chronicles: Clean Sweep The Graphic Novel is great. This is only the first half of the season available on Tapas (unless I totally dreamed of reading the conclusion to this arc), so keep your eyes open for the second half.
