Review:
Whew. After that cliffhanger ending, I was biting my nails while waiting for Spy x Family Vol. 13! It was a rough wait, but it was pretty worth it. This volume quickly wraps up all that tension before throwing readers into a few slice-of-life style chapters, which is a refreshing break from all the rushing around.
We’ve been pretty focused on Loid (and how he relates to the family unit as a whole) for a while now, so it’s nice to see what Yor and Anya have been up to. Their stories soothe the heart and bring readers back to the series we’ve all come to know and love.
And yes, there are quite possibly two new characters in the mix. I don’t want to say too much about them, in case they don’t show up again (or worse, there’s some dastardly twist they’re involved in).
Long story short, Spy x Family Vol. 13 was worth the wait, though it likewise gave us a bit of a cliffhanger ending. It’s not as painful as the last one, so I’ll take it.
