Summary:

The Cryptid Club is a group of well, cryptids! They’re just as socially awkward and shy as the rest of us, and that means they’re second-guessing everything. These mysterious creatures love their quirky personalities and create lasting friendships.

Cryptid Club is created by Sarah Andersen, and it portrays a slice-of-life style comic about these cryptid critters.

Review:

Cryptid Club is more of a slice-of-life style comic, and I love it. Created by Sarah Andersen, I was always going to make time to read the whole set. It just took me longer than intended.

You should probably brush up on your basic cryptids before reading Cryptid Club, because the references might otherwise fly by you. In other words, Cryptid Club is cute, witty, and very quirky.

The artwork is creepy cute, the characters are vibrant and full of life (or death, whatever is the appropriate term here), and the humor is on point. The comics themselves range from adorable and highly relatable to strange and out there, in a good way. There’s a joke for every cryptid fan here, but sadly, no Squonks.

Highlights:

  • Cute Cryptids
  • Slice-of-Life
  • Humorous
  • Paranormal
