Summary:

Lucia’s life changed forever during the human and fairy war. She was brought into the kingdom by the King himself, set to serve his daughter as maid and best friend. It’s been a happy life, for the most part.

These days, Lucia’s life has gotten quite busy. She’s prepping her best friend for marriage, taking magic lessons with Norrix, hiding her fairy nature from the world, and making unlikely friends left and right.

Review:

If you are not reading this series, you’re seriously missing out. Suitor Armor is an enchanting series revolving around a fairy in hiding (Lucia) inside the palace walls of a kingdom very much at war with the fairies. Obviously, there are layers to this story, but it’s so fun and compelling all in one.

The character development alone makes Suitor Armor Vol. 2 worth reading. Lucia’s story has gotten more complex. Obviously, Modeus has likewise gotten more complicated, as he’s learning what it’s like to be living armor (for lack of a better description).

On that note, the romantic subplot is progressing, but it sometimes takes a backseat to allowing these two characters to develop further. That’s necessary, so I’m loving it. What is a nice surprise is that many of the secondary characters are also getting fleshed out, making the world feel more alive. Will they be more accepting of Lucia or Modeus in the long run? I have no idea.

I am lucky enough to have my hands on Suitor Armor Vol. 3, so I will be happily diving into that next! (Yes, I know I can binge-read it all on Webtoons).
