My Hero Academia: Team-Up Missions Vol. 1 is exactly what it promises to be: an entertaining series of team-ups following our favorite heroes in training. Shorts like these help to flesh out the series just a little bit more, providing more insight into their experience and training.

It makes sense. There’s no way we’ve seen all of the classes that U.A. High School puts its students through. Especially not Class 1A, who has been through so much and thus pushed harder than ever before.

Team-Up Missions Vol. 1 portrays Midoriya’s first big team-up mission, alongside several other highly entertaining events. While the focus may be on Deku, plenty of other characters get a chance to shine over the course as well. Some of whom were a major surprise – in the best of ways.

Each team-up reads more like a one-shot, with no real need to be concerned about where they start or end. The goal is simply to show more of their training – and all of the chaos and fun that can be had along the way!

My Hero Academia: Team-Up Missions is going to be a perfect read for all of the MHA fans out there – trust me on that one! Actually, I can’t help but hope that some of these events will appear in the anime, even if only as filler. I’ll take it!

I received a copy of My Hero Academia: Team-Up Missions Vol. 1 in exchange for a fair and honest review.

This is an older review that has been edited and ported over from my other review site, Quirky Cat’s Fat Stacks (of Books)
