Summary:
Coco lives in a world where magic exists. Unfortunately, she’s no magician. That’s the one thing she’s desperately wanted to be ever since she was a little girl. However, she has also been told that magicians are born, not made. Until one day, Coco sees something that changes her life. Now, she’s a witch in training.
The city may be safe from peril, but there is still much to do before the day is done. Qifey’s students have been called on to help aid and comfort the survivors, while Coco is determined to search for Custas.
Review:
Every series needs a volume or two that wrap up previous plots, and for Witch Hat Atelier, that’s volume 13. That’s not a bad thing, as a lot has been going on. This volume helps to wrap up some loose ends from the current arc, while driving home the dangers of forbidden magic (duh).
I love this series so much. The wait between volumes is painful, so I will probably be swapping to reading the chapters as they come out. Probably. That may make the pain worse in the long run, so we’ll see. Speaking of, the pain of waiting for this anime is getting to me. 2026?! Moving on.
Witch Hat Atelier Vol. 13, splits Coco from her fellow students, and it really gives a couple of them a chance to shine. Richeh and Tetia mostly. Helping others is clearly their natural environment, so it’s good to see.
Meanwhile, Coco’s story is clearly spinning up the next arc of the story, and who knows how much higher the stakes are about to get. I guess we’ll find out soon!
